FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

MOST FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Do your tours operate all year round?

We are running the tours daily, rain or shine, all year round.

Are all your tours in English?

Yes! Our ‘default’ language for all our tours is English, however we also run tours in German, Italian, Russian and Spanish on a regular basis and can arrange private tours in other languages upon request.

Can you pick me up from the airport?

We know what it’s like to arrive after long flight, exhausted in a new city. Not knowing your way around and relying on sometimes substandard taxi services to get you to your hotel can be draining. I can organise a personal driver to meet you at the airport and transfer you and your luggage direct to your hotel reception.

Driver services are also available for the duration of your stay in Prague and can be particularly useful when touring the city in rainy weather or for longer day trips such as visiting Kutna Hora. Just contact me with details of your wishes and I’ll send you a quote accordingly.

What kind of clothes should we wear?

This depends on the time of year. During the winter season we strongly suggest you bundle up and during the summer, the lighter the better. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES. So sneakers or hiking shoes are best! Please don’t show up in a pair of high heels. If you do. I can almost guarantee that your feet will suffer dearly. Also, please take the time to check the weather report the day before our tour so you can dress appropriately.

DETAILS ABOUT OUR TOURS

Travelling in a group

I keep our group sizes low so you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from me. This intimate size ensures that your group will not crowd your experience. You can expect up to 10 travelers on a trip but the average is 4.

Travelling with children

That really depends on your children. But generally all of our tours are suitable for children. Our tours are designed to be suitable for people of all ages. This is one of the biggest reasons that guests opt for a private tour.

Travelling solo

Yes! We get plenty of travelers who come out on our tours solo. The intimate tour environment ensures a great way to meet like-minded participants and to easily interact with your guide and all of the engaging locals we meet along the way. Our clients tend to be “anti-tourists,” independent-minded travelers who like to seek out the sites, events, and local establishments far removed from the tourist bus circuit, and who don’t like to be herded around in a crowd. They are typically adventurous and crave authenticity in travel, and are willing to venture a wee bit off the well-trodden Prague tourism circuit. Sounds like you? Then join us!

ON YOUR TRIP

Arrival information

Your personal guide will pick you up at a prearranged spot. No need to worry!

Do we stop for Lunch or Refreshment?

Of course we can manage this. In a city with so much great food, it would be crazy not to. Either is an option, but just know that if we sit down for a relaxing meal we might have to move faster to get in the rest of the sights.

Are Restrooms available during the Tour?

Public bathroom options in Prague are limited, so please try to use the restroom before arriving at the tour meeting location. However, we will always incorporate at least one bathroom stop during our tours.

Can I take pictures during the Tour?

Tour guests are encouraged to take as many pictures as they want, but no flash photography is allowed inside churches. In addition to this, filming of any kind is prohibited.

Tipping information

Tipping is always optional, and if it means you are not going to be able to feed your children tonight, then please save your money. But if you had a great time and you want to thank your personal guide – gratuities are very much appreciated.

Accommodation and Transport

We also can organize the place of your stay. Don’t hesitate to contact us if needed.
Public transportation is normally included in the price of your tour ticket.
